The Artura is based on the all-new McLaren Carbon Fibre Lightweight Architecture (MCLA). It is here that the lightweight McLaren V6 twin turbocharge petrol engine works in unison with the powerful and compact E-Motor. The 8-Speed Seamless Shift Gearbox uses electric power for a more optimal approach.
POWERTRAIN MODES
There are four powertrain modes to choose from when you drive the Artura. The E-mode takes advantage of the electric-only mode and keeps the engine shut off for the duration of the ride. The Comfort mode automatically shuts off the engine when driving below 25 mph. The Sport and Track modes will keep the V6 engine running at all times.
SCULPTED AND LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN
The monocoque is built with four new kinds of carbon fibre, a new resin system, and a new core material. The Artura is designed in a way to optimize airflow through intricately placed air channels. The overall seamlessness of the vehicle is made possible by advanced carbon fibre expertise and Superforming techniques.
